Adjacent to Agua Fria is the Bolster Substation Battery System, a 25 MW battery storage facility connected directly to SRP’s energy grid. It can be discharged during peak energy periods to help meet high customer demand. It is SRP’s largest stand-alone battery storage system in operation.
